Quickly Adjust to Daylight Saving Time with CBN Cannabis Edibles

This year try to quickly adjust to daylight saving time with CBN cannabis edibles. Does CBN help aid users with sleep? More research is required, but if cannabis edibles help you sleep it is worth trying CBN enhanced edibles. Many users say CBN provides them with a relaxing mild body high, making it easier to get a restful night’s sleep! Catching up on sleep is especially helpful when we all lose an hour this weekend!

4 Daylight Saving Questions Answered:

    • Do we lose or gain an hour?

    • When did we start practicing Daylight Savings Time?
      • In the United States of America we began to practice daylight saving time on March 19th, 1918 during World War I.  Europe adopted daylight saving time two years prior on May 1, 1916.
    • Who thought of Daylight Saving Time?
      • Benjamin Franklin came up with the idea for daylight saving time in a 1784 essay titled “An Economical Project”.

      • We still practice Daylight Saving Time to conserve energy.

According to Douma, M., curator. (2008). Rationale and Original Idea. In Daylight Saving Time. Retrieved March 7th, 2022, from Webexhibit;

Studies done by the U.S. Department of Transportation in 1975 showed that Daylight Saving Time trims the entire country's electricity usage by a small but significant amount, about one percent each day, because less electricity is used for lighting and appliances.

With energy prices as they are, we may want to be thankful to Benjamin Franklin and his energy-savings Economical Project!

3 Tips to Quickly Adjust to Daylight Saving Time with CBN Edibles

Keep a Consistent Routine

Whether you have a consistent or rotating schedule, it is important to implement a few habits to trigger your body into a restful state before bed.  Everyone may have a different routine.  Mine is to stop cell phone use 1 hour before bed, eat 10mg of cannabis edibles, and read for 30 minutes before sleep (or however long I can keep my eyes open when the edible hits me!).  No matter what time of day, if I follow this pattern I will get a restful nights sleep 99% of the time.  By following your routine, you will be able to prepare for the time change!

The Gradual Method

Start on Thursday, March 9th to get to sleep earlier by 15 minutes each day. I know, it’s not as easy done as said to just lay your head on your pillow and go to sleep 15 minutes earlier.  However, with a little preparation and a well-timed edible routine, you may be able to accomplish this!

Set an alarm on your phone for when to eat your favorite CBN Edible product.  I like Cookies N’ Cream CBN Terra Bites from KIVA for its delicious flavor and easy to dose bite sized nature.  Start your nighttime routine and be conscious to get into a restful state just a tiny bit earlier, 15 minutes or so than you did the night before.

Get Adjusted Overnight

Got a fluctuating schedule? I do! Make sure to sleep well  the night before you lose an hour of time! Saturday night, pop in some earplugs and take an extra dose of a CBN edible before sleeping. Set yourself up for success the next day with an energizing beverage waiting for you. I pre-make my iced coffee a little stronger and leave it for myself in the refrigerator the night before. Whatever your go-to energizing morning routine, make sure it’s easy to access with as little effort as possible to help you shake off any residual grogginess you may have.

*When taking edibles, ensure you have enough time to recover before operating large machinery.
